Hot off the press

25/03

The 25th of March is both a national and religious holiday, celebrated by Greeks all around the world. The national aspect of the holiday marks the beginning of the 1821 revolution, which liberated Greece from Ottoman rule. The date also marks the Annunciation, which holds great significance in the Orthodox faith.

Women’s day

On 1977 the UN decided on the annual celebration of women every 8th of March, in order to shine light on the challenges faced by women. Women’s day is an empowering reminder that we are strong, capable and able to withstand in the face of societal adversity and gender prejudice.
